Youth Group

Middle and High School

Robert Safley leads our Youth Group activities throughout the year which include annual bierock and bread sales to support summer learning trips.

Youth Trips

Most summers Plymouth offers at least one service/learning trip opportunity. While the youth are the primary participants on these trips, adults are encouraged to participate as well. Recent trips include Re-Member on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in SD (2014, 2015, 2018, 2022), Heifer Ranch in Perryville AK (2015), Borderlinks in Tucson, AZ (2016), Reach Beyond Mission in Washington, D.C. (2017), and Boston, MA (2013). Youth participate in fundraisers throughout the year to offset the cost of the trip. Fundraisers include the Annual Talent Show, Pancake Breakfasts, Chili Feed, Bread Sale, and Bierock Sale.

Confirmation

Plymouth Church offers a mentor-based confirmation class for teens interested in joining the church. The program covers Bible themes, church history, the life and ministry of Jesus, and basic theological and Congregational concepts. Please contact Rev. Robu for more information.

Our Whole Lives

In the fall of 2017, Plymouth offered the human sexuality class Our Whole Lives for youth in grades 9 and 10. OWL helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. It equips participants with accurate, age-appropriate information in six subject areas: human development, relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society and culture. Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, OWL provides not only facts about anatomy and human development, but helps participants to clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality. This class will be offered again in the fall of 2021. Contact Rev. Robu if you are interested in having your child participate at krobu@plymouth-church.net.
